So, yeah... This is what Yarrow does. He's a violinist. An alien violinist. Clearly the instrument was imported from Earth. =B WOW-WEE. Yarrow is very talented at what he does... but he prefers to play for himself... and not in front of a huge audience, which is what he's presumably doing here. Been meaning to do a pic of him playing for awhile. x_x Oh, btw, he's either about to play or finished playing in case ya wonder why his bow seems a little above the bridge. NOTE: Thanks for the input on the violin guys! I did a fair amount of research, but I'm not a violinist, so please don't be too harsh if you see something a little off. I'll try harder next time. =B

You already know how much I enjoy this picture, but I figured I'd go more indepth here.
I'm really glad you went with those moody blue tones and less saturated monochrone hints, because it just makes this picture have so much FEELING you know? His expression really finishes it off nicely. The background has this sort of cold, silent essence to it, like a mystified crowd in some fancy concert hall. It's quite a peak into his personality too, I think, and might be quite a surprise to some! He really can be such an elegant character, when he tries and has such a varied and unique personality.
So in other words, this pictures quite a treat. And I think you're improving on your coloring too!

Neolucky said most of what I could say about this, so... dur, put me down as wanting to say a lot of that, but not wanting to parrot?
On my own bit, though, I must say that the bokeh on the background is a treat. It does look like we're dealing with the audience to a concert hall... and from what I've seen of the character having his back turned to the audience is quite his style. If this is what you're going for, combining his own self-imposed exhile even when performing with a shallow depth of field... works wonders.
Deffinately digging his fashion. I wish real men would dress like that.
